Synopsis This transmedia documentary explores the historical relationship between the Australian landscape and fire.
A radio documentary "Continent of Fire" will be broadcast on ABC on Hindsight on February 19, 2012. It blends scientific, historical and traditional ways of viewing the issue of bushfire. After the 19th it can be podcast from here.
There is also an essay "Fire Words" that was published by Griffith Review in February 2012. It explores the history of our language for fire in Australia. It can be read by visiting here.
Editing of the video documentary is due to begin in late March 2012. The video will be available from June 2012. It will focus on the nature of fire in our bush.
